Youth Climbing

Climbing allows children to challenge themselves against the climb and their own ability.  It builds hand eye coordination, balance, physical development, mathematical problem solving, dexterity and patience. At The Climbing Corner, kids can climb from 7 - 12 years old if supervised by an adult or as part of Climbing School, and can climb unsupervised from 13 years onwards!

Wonderfully we have found that this is a sport almost any child can find a strength in, satisfying the aspiring adventurer within. Climbing indoors in a safe environment not only expresses that climbing urge, it offers great physical exercise and mindful engagement. Flexibility and core strength play a part in the sport too, very similar to gymnastics, yoga and meditation.

Along with great friendships it also develops responsibility and understanding.

Adult Supervision

It is possible for parents/guardians to share the climbing experience with children starting from 7 Years old.

For these types of sessions you will be responsible for the children/dependents at all times, but are welcome to join the fun and climb with them! You must have a small amount of previous experience rock climbing and the staff will also provide a brief introduction and instructions regarding the rules and safety regulations before you will be left on your own with your children/dependents to climb. The staff will be available at all times to answer any questions or provide tips or advice.

*Max supervision ratio 1:3

*Each supervising parent must have had 10 previous climbing sessions to be eligible.

*Supervising adult climbs free
